Our client company is seeking an experienced safety engineer to coordinate the process safety efforts in their plant and interface with the appropriate manufacturing resources to resolve, implement and partner in the process safety requirements.

 

You must be willing to:

·        Identify/evaluate process/safety risks

·        Assist in the development of effective solutions to mitigate the risk

·        Ensure the plant complies with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM)/EPA Risk Management Plan (              RMP) rules

·        Facilitating Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)/Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA) studies

·        Provide oversight for the management of change (MOC) process/KMS (incident tracking system)

·        Lead/participate in investigation teams

·        Participate in process safety audits/investigations at other plants

·        Coordinating process safety training

 

Requirements (IF YOU DON’T HAVE THESE, DON’T APPLY)

·        BS in engineering (BSCE or BSME preferred)

·        5 years’ experience with OSHA 1910.119 Process Safety Management (PSM)/EPA Risk Management                  Programs (RMP) regulations

·        Ability to read/understand Process/Instrument Diagrams (P&ID)
